Aberration
Here we go for the show off! Lemme introduce you my forces, I'm waiting for your feedbacks, but I already noticed a lotta things in photo that I didn't noticed on the model.... argh...

First thing first, one Locust :

It's one of the old model (my favorite) and its rusty! That one is a sentinel from some outpost... It stands day and night, whatever the weather, under a salted and acid atmosphere. Beware, it may looks offline, but it's still deadly!

Some marines painted with the official color scheme. Wanna know something? NO MORE CAMO FOR ME! The rest of them will be from another company, with another uniform!
Mr_Smigs
whoa...
love that rusted look...

how long did it take you to manage that? (and how?)
CmdrKiley
I'll have to say, I never thought of the worn rusted look on Syntha. I always liked the shiney chrome Terminator look. However it really does sort of fit these guys. Gives them sort of a Fallout feel to them. Furthermore, given the general condition of disrepair on the wartorn streets of Iskandria, the rust look makes sensible camoflague.

I love it... the rust is great ... but maybe a bit much ... if there was that much rust I am not sure how it would be a functioning synth... but that is just my personal prefference
Aberration
Art is a weird thing.... y'all focused on the model I spent the less time on!

Saramin, I guess you're right.... I'll try to mixe "shiny-chromy-colors" and rust for the next ones.... But remember one thing folks : even machines suffer the torments of time....

Actually it was really easy to do (it's for absolute beginner!) :

1) spay some white undercoat (you may use black, but it will be a little harder.... but white is the best color for undercoat anyway!)
2) make a juice of dark brown with some purple in it and wash the whole model (you can see that color on the base) .... Make sure the holes are dark enough, but you don't have to care about the rest
3) Take a large brush (it won't love the process, so take the cheapest ones) then put some orange in your dark purpuly-brown and do some taps all over the model
4) and some orange in the mix and do it again
and again and again...

When you come to pure orange, then yellowy orange tap it on the part where you want the light...

And it's done!
