Are you planning on running any painting competitions, or is there just going to be the tournament?

It's currently a possibility, depending on how many (if any) additional people sign up between now and then. If we have the room (it's a regular club session so we have to make allowances for our other games) there will be a table set aside for the competition. I can't make any promises, but we'll put it on if we can, and if we do there will be medals. smile.gif

Alright guys, we're just one day away!

Remember, you'll need to bring two copies of your army roster (either the one in the tournament pack or the one in the rulebook), one for me, one for you. Be sure to turn up in plenty time for registration, so we can hit the tables at 10am.
Unfortunately we can't provide any more than a few snacks and drinks over the course of the day, so make sure you bring a packed lunch or money for the nearby shops, although the club's limited kitchen is at your disposal.
Also, feel free to bring along spending money for the Urban Mammoth retail stand.

Good luck everyone! smile.gif

Thanks to Eek and the Kirrie club for running the tournament, much fun seemed to be had by all. Also very nice to see Robert bringing the biggest trade stand I have seen since Claymore. Lots of blisters, boxes and a range of classic models.

I will let Eek post the full results, but it was won by Craig Lafferty with his Koralon.

I decided to try my Junkers for the first time ever, scared a few people when I put down 16 figures...

Hello folks, I'm back after a hard days work and I'll just put up a quick post-mortem before I go and pass out somewhere.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who came along, I hope you all enjoyed the event as much as I did running it. Here's hoping we can host the event again next year!

I'd like to once again congratulate Craig Lafferty for placing first in the gaming side with his Koralon strike-team - it seemed just as brutal as I remember from facing it at Urbanisation! biggrin.gif
Second and third went to Anthony Purdie with his Gladiators and Martin Lee with his Triads respectively. Well done lads! smile.gif

We did manage to host the painting competition after all. Gold went to Grant Murray and his fantastic Junker strike-team. Anthony Purdie took his second silver for his Gladiators, and Stuart Ronald's Syntha took third place. Once again, well done to all the winners.

I'll post up a full rundown of who came where and with what, and some pictures later.

Finally, many thanks to Bob for bringing along goods to sell (and giving me an enjoyable game while everyone else was playing), it was nice to see some of the older models available as well, alas that I didn't have any money to spend!

Thanks once again to everyone who took part, I hope to see you all again!

Indeed, it was good to see a bit of everything on the tables, although we did have a couple of incidents of "infighting" with Triad vs Triad and Syntha vs Syntha games.

Hopefully we can rope in a few more players next year and reduce that a little bit. smile.gif
