No promotion or discussion of Urban Mammoth’s competitors:
Urban Mammoth are happy to provide the resources of these forums to responsible individuals without charge. They cost a substantial amount of money to maintain and use considerable amounts of bandwith which is paid for exclusively by Urban Mammoth. As you know Urban Mammoth are in the tabletop games and miniatures business and therefore the promotion or discussion of Urban Mammoth's competitors is forbidden. Examples of promotion are :-
Posting links to competitors websites
Posting links to reviews that promote competitors
Quoting the names or contact details of competitors
Offering to provide the names or contact details of competitors
Using the forums to notify a member of intent or actual supply of names or contact details of competitors
Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in signatures
Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in profile
Posting links to or the mentioning of auction sites
Disguising attempts to do any of the above
No promotion of business interests:
Unless you have prior consent from Urban Mammoth you may not promote any items, website or business you have a financial or other interest in. Nor may you use the popularity of this community to help build one of your own. The forums are here to allow people to freely share knowledge, not provide them with personal financial gain, or free advertising.
No swearing, posting of "adult" material, personal attacks or "trolling":
Urban Mammoth would like you, your friends, and your family to learn and share via our forums. For this reason swearing and the posting of "adult" or offensive material is forbidden. Simply replacing some of the letters in a swearword with a * or any other character is not acceptable. If you must then please replace the whole word with ***** or other repeated character. We also expect members to behave respectfully and not launch personal or abusive attacks on other members. Those who post for the sole purpose of causing trouble are not welcome here and will be dealt with accordingly.
No posting Urban Mammoth order or returns queries:
The forums are not to be used for the posting of existing order or returns queries. These can often involve delicate issues such as failed credit card authorisation and are best dealt with privately.
No anti- Urban Mammoth posts:
Urban Mammoth will never allow these forums to be used by those who would seek to tarnish our name, no matter how justified they feel their circumstances are. Posts of an offending nature abusing Urban Mammoth, denigrating the company, or complaints about bad service etc. will not be tolerated. Posts openly criticising the policies of, or demonstrating a lack of respect for the Administrator are not permitted. If you have a criticism of Urban Mammoth or our forums then feel free contact us directly.
No exemption from the rules for Urban Mammoth customers:
These rules are in place to ensure the Urban Mammoth forums continue to be a friendly place where members can learn and share information on a variety of gaming, modelling and painting topics. You do not have to be an Urban Mammoth customer to be a member, but if you are there is no exemption from any of the rules because of that fact.
What happens if I break the rules?:
At best your post will be edited by the appropriate Moderator and you will be issued a warning. If the offence is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse so please don't. For persistant and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Nuked". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and your account will no longer function. If you re-register, your new account will be nuked immediately.
